Paul Danner – Chairman & Chief Executive Officer

Skilled at successfully marketing service offerings, securing product placement, increasing market share, and growing revenue for an array of Fortune 500 organizations, mid-market companies and start-up ventures for over 30 years on five continents. Former business leadership roles include serving as the senior corporate executive of three NASDAQ-listed companies.  Previously served as a Naval Aviator flying the F-14 Tomcat, and subsequently as an Aerospace Engineering Duty Officer supporting the Naval Air Systems Command, for 8 years on active duty + 22 years with the reserve component of the United States Navy.

Brooke Turk – Chief Financial Officer

Ms. Turk began her career with Arthur Andersen & Co. before progressing quickly to positions of ever-increasing responsibility with Jones Intercable, Qwest Communications International, and Dex Media, a $1.6 Billion, NYSE-listed private equity portfolio company, and others. Since launching her independent consulting practice, Ms. Turk has advised clients in the Construction, Financial, Healthcare, Industrials, Professional Services, Real Estate, and Technology sectors on strategic, financial, and operational improvements.

Joseph Driver – Member of the Board

Mr. Driver serves as a director for Pepex in his capacity as the Chief Investment Officer for Vafer Investment Group, Pepex’s largest stockholder and supporter.  Mr. Driver and his associates have for many years provided early-stage angel funding to technology driven startups and have seen particular success in medical devices.

Steven J. Bupp M.D. – Chief Medical Officer & Member of the Board

Dr. Bupp has twenty-eight years’ experience as a practicing physician.  He earned degrees from Wichita State University and the University of Kansas School of Medicine, and completed a fellowship in Clinical Pharmacology at the St. Francis Regional Medical Center Psychiatric Research Institute.  In addition to his position as Medical Director for Pepex, Dr. Bupp is currently serving in, or previously held, senior leadership positions with Sonora Behavioral Health Hospital, CODAC Behavioral Health, Arizona Biodyne, SW Biomedical Research, Vafer Investment Group,  Arizona Center For Brain Stimulation, and Hidden Paradox – The Dark Thought Project.

Nathan Long, Ph.D. – Chief Innovation Officer/Co-Founder & Chairman of the Board

Dr. Long has extensive technical expertise in nanotechnology, biosensors, bioenergy, data analytics and new business incubation.  He formerly served as the CEO of Pepex Biomedical, Central Michigan University Research Corporation, and Bio-Nano Power.  Before moving into senior business management, he led technical development teams for Colgate-Palmolive, BASF/Diversey Wyandotte and Benckiser Consumer Products collectively launching over 200 new products.  Dr. Long earned a BS in Chemistry from the University of Michigan and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Michigan State University.

Vojtech Svoboda, PhD – Chief Science Officer

Vojtech Svoboda has sixteen years’ experience with research and development of electrochemical systems including biosensors.  Dr. Svoboda holds a master’s degree and Ph.D. in electrical engineering/electrochemistry, and gained extensive work experience and expertise at European and American academic and industrial research institutions.  As a principal investigator, he has completed numerous governmental grant-funded research projects.  Dr. Svoboda has also served as a reviewer on the NSF biosensing panel, and at multiple peer-reviewed journals.  He taught applied electrochemistry classes at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and is currently affiliated as a visiting professor at Georgia University of Technology.

James Say –Senior Vice President, Product Development & Engineering/Co-Founder

Mr. Say was an early engineering collaborator with Professor Adam Heller at the University of Texas – Austin during the time when Dr. Heller developed the WiredEnzymeTMchemistry.  He was conceptual designer and lead engineer at E. Heller & company, and later TheraSense, for the initial development of structures and systems used in both the NavigatorTM and FreestyleTM products.
